How to play

Swipe (or press the arrow keys) to slide every tile in one direction. When two tiles with the same number collide they merge into one tile worth double. Each move adds a new 2 or 4 to the board. Reach the 2048 tile to win — you can keep going afterwards for a higher score. The game ends when the board is full and no merges remain.

Strategy that actually works

• Pick one corner and keep your biggest tile there — never move away from it.
• Build a descending row along one edge so merges cascade naturally.
• Use only three directions where possible; the fourth breaks your corner.
• Merge small tiles early so the board doesn't clog with stray 2s and 4s.
