How to play

Fill the 9×9 grid so that every row, every column and every 3×3 box contains the digits 1 to 9 exactly once. Tap a cell and choose a number, or use your keyboard: number keys to place a digit, backspace to erase, arrow keys to move. Turn on Notes to pencil in candidates when a cell has more than one possibility. Conflicting digits turn red so you can spot slips early.

Tips for faster solves

• Scan for the digit that already appears most often — it's usually easiest to place.
• Work box by box on easy puzzles; switch to rows and columns on harder ones.
• Use notes on hard and expert: a cell with only one candidate left is a free move.
• If you're stuck, look for a row where a digit can only fit in one cell.
